iPad Information for LSC K-6 Parents

Please review the following information to assist your child when using their LSC iPad at home.

Each iPad must connect to your home Wi-Fi or a Wi-Fi hot spot. Wi-Fi is found in the Settings app of the iPad. The How to Connect the iPad to a Home Wi-Fi Network video demonstrates the process.

Note that multiple devices connected to a Wi-Fi network will slow the network performance causing applications that require Internet to work more slowly.

Students will start each eLearning day by opening the Canvas Student App. The days schedule, assignments and additional information will be located on the class homepage in Canvas.

Canvas is the Learning Management System used by LSC. Students will have a tile for each class.

Teachers can assign a variety of assignment types in Canvas. The How to Submit Assignments in Canvas video demonstrates how to submit various assignment types.

ClassLink is a Single Sign on App that assists students with logging into multiple applications.

Below is a list of all applications that can be accessed through Classlink. Students are assigned apps based on grade level and school so all will not be available in each ClassLink app. Refer to your students Canvas class to find which applications your child will use to complete assignments.
